Mazda Repairs

Airbags
A flashing airbag light means your airbag system is not working properly, which is a dangerous and serious problem if you were to be in an accident. If your Mazda has defective Takata airbags, you should immediately schedule them to be replaced, under factory warranty in most cases.
Key/Ignition Switch

Mass Air Flow Sensor
A bad or contaminated Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor can cause problems such as the engine stalling or misfiring. You may also experience issues with poor acceleration or the vehicle jolting.
Faulty Sensors
The sensors on your Mazda can wear out and become faulty which often results in misfire issues and a rough idle. If you an illuminated check engine light, have your vehicle inspected by a Pickering’s ASE certified technician who can diagnose the problem and make any necessary repairs.
HVAC Problems
Problems with your Mazda’s heating and air conditioning systems can develop. Here are a few of the more common HVAC issues:
HVAC Blower Motor
The symptoms of a bad blower motor include weak or no airflow coming from the vents or the fan may only blow on certain speeds. Fixing this often requires removing parts of the dash so, be sure to have your vehicle inspected with an ASE Certified technician at Pickering’s Auto Service.
Blend Door Actuators
The blend door actuators or HVAC actuators are responsible for blending warm and cold air to achieve the desired temperature in the cabin. If you are having difficulty controlling the temperature inside your Mazda, your blend door actuators may need repairs or replacing.
ABS Warning Light
An illuminated ABS light on your dash can indicate a wide range of problems with your Anti-Lock Brakes. It may simply mean the emergency brake is stuck on, or it could indicate a loss of brake fluid or pressure, which can be a serious problem. Have your vehicle inspected by a Pickering’s ASE Certified technician who can make any necessary repairs and have you safely back on the road in no time.
Turbocharger
The turbocharger may fail, particularly in the Mazda CX 7 and CX 9 models. Symptoms include a loss of power and blue or white smoke coming from the exhaust. The problem will get worse the longer you go without repairs and could affect the engine as well. Clutch problems
There can be a number of problems with early wear of the clutch, particularly on the Mazda 3-series. If you notice difficulty in shifting gears or the clutch is slipping, make an appointment with Pickering’s Auto Service.
Broken or Worn Engine Mounts
If you notice an increase in noise coming from the engine bay or feel more vibration inside your vehicle, it could be a broken or worn engine mount.
