Audi Repairs
All vehicles need repairs at one time or another and Audi is no exception. Oil Leaks
Audi engine oil leaks are common, particularly from the valve cover gaskets. Even a small oil leak can result in major engine damage and costly repairs. It’s important to be diligent about regular oil changes, especially if you have a GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) or TDI (Turbo Direct Injection), with high quality oil and filters. CV Axles
The CV axles on your Audi are covered by a rubber boot that keeps grease in and dirt out of the CV joint. Once grease begins to leak from the boot, the CV joint will begin to wear out and eventually fail. If you notice a loud clicking or popping noise, especially when turning corners, it’s a symptom of a worn out CV joint. Our ASE Certified technicians will inspect the axle boots during your routine Audi maintenance visits. Cooling System Leaks
The plastic components that make up your engine’s cooling system will eventually become brittle, allowing coolant to leak out. Replacing these parts is a relatively low-cost repair, especially compared to the damaged caused by an overheated engine, with the possibility of being stranded or stalled in traffic! If you notice green liquid leaking from your Audi or a high temperature gauge reading, be sure to bring your vehicle to Pickering’s for a proper diagnosis and repairs.
Power & Voltage Issues
The alternator and battery are the electrical supply for the entire vehicle. If you notice an illuminated battery light or your Audi won’t start, it’s a sign the alternator may not be charging your vehicle’s battery properly. Ignition Coils
Damaged or worn spark plugs will put strain on the ignition coils eventually causing them to fail. If your Audi is backfiring or misfiring, it may mean your ignition coils are failing. Catalytic Converter
