As a family owned and operated auto repair business around since 1976, we have committed to doing our part in sustaining the quality of our neighborhoods for the generations to come and strongly encourage others to do so as well. Pickering's Auto Service has been committed to continually reducing the environmental impact we have on the Lakewood, Arvada and Westminster communities that have been so good to us throughout the years.

Pickering's Auto Service is proud to have received our NAPA GreenCare Certification and Energy Star Certification for both our Lakewood and Arvada/Westminster locations! We are also listed on www.FindGreenGarage.com for the green garage challenge!

Pickering's Solar Energy & Sustainability

Pickering's Roof Solar Panels | Pickering's Auto ServicePickering's has stayed on the forefront with the addition of our 248, 224W Solar Panels at our Lakewood location. This constitutes as a 55.552KW Photovoltaic Solar Array. In addition to the solar, Pickering's has made other changes in low energy usage lighting and oil burning for heat moving towards sustainability at both locations. With the addition of the solar array at Lakewood, and the changes in lighting, Pickering's has almost become self-sufficient on electricity for its 10,500 sq. ft. building.

We are constantly alert to opportunities to reduce our energy needs and to use renewal sources for that energy. Improved efficiencies in lighting will help us reduce our power needs even more; we anticipate the day when our facilities can be completely energy neutral.
